Hi all, newbie question
I had to replace the water pump seals on my 1992 KDX200. Should I use RTV on the water pump cover gasket?
Thanks!!

No, if all your mating surfaces are good then just the paper gasket and proper torque are all that are needed to seal it up.

No goop, just the paper gasket. Torque to specs in manual.

Yep, no sealer. However, I do use a little smearing of grease on both sides of the gasket to facilitate removal down the road.
