Clarke natural gas tank
I'm looking for a picture of the Clarke gas tank in natural color fitted on a KDX 200 H. Not the oversize but the standard size. As a fashionista, I hesitate between the black and natural

one thing to consider is the dye used in the oil you prefer, that might have an effect on tank colour as well

Clarke natural gas tank
That is absolutely bad-a$$. Due to different donor-bikes, the tank on my KDX250 has faded at a different rate than the rest of the plastic I'm using. Hello black tank.
Theory and Practice are ALWAYS identical...theoretically...

Updated version (a few years newer than the vid above), using Rit Pro Line dye, salt, vinegar, and dishwashing detergent:
(pardon the goofy helmet/goggles persona of the guy in the vid!)
Now in addition to my black Clarke tank, Black Preston Petty Muder front fender, and black 94-98 KX125/250 rear fender slight mods to fit under seat area with dremel and heat gun), I can dye my H series 95-06 side panels and shrouds black as well.... I thought my only option was green UFO!
I think I'll try both, trying to break up the excessive green and white accent color scheme to give my bike a new refreshed appearance without buying expensive vinyl overlays that'll just get torn up...
I have a KDX175 headlight/number plate, but I think I might dye a Preston Petty headlight/number plate black so that my bike is black down the top center, and green on the side panels and shrouds or just green on the frame...
I wanted an '88 KDX200, but I love my '99 KDX220R H-series so much, I just wanted to add a little bit of retro nostalgia aesthetic to the front end and black it out and keep riding this brilliant machine... aside from the OEM 220 piston woes fixed by a Wossner or Wiseco, I think the KDX220R is quite possibly the best most versatile recreational trail bike of all time, especially with a Ron Black modded head and Ron Black modded/prepped Keihin Air Stryker carb, + FMF Gnarly Desert pipe... and Neutech Tubliss system & upgraded lighting stator. doesn't get any better that, I much prefer it to the KTM 200's which only want to go like an MX bike even with a heavy flywheel weight...
