1983 kdx 200
Picking up a 1983 kdx 200 tomorrow . I will have pics then. But what I do know is it may need clutch work and top end. Any words of wisdom? Things to look for and so on?

Get a flywheel puller off ebay, remove the flywheel and check the magnets are still on the flywheel nice and tight, they come loose and destroy the coils.

I just finished my '84. Piston rings are almost impossible to find. '86 & newer won't fit. One guy is selling a new, German made, piston/ring set on E-bay for $199.
Pay close attention to all the thrust washers when pulling the clutch. There's one for the clutch, idler sprocket & kick starter mechanism. Have fun!!
