frame rubber isolators and grommets

Post by soup-n-sandwich »

Hey guys,
I'm doing a complete rebuild on a KDX220. I can find most OEM parts when needed but I can't seem to find the rubber iso mounts for the gas tank, rubber grommets for the tank mounting hardware, the rubber bumper on the frame under the front part of the gas tank and a lot of other rubber grommets and isolators. Do you guys know where I can find this stuff? Or do I have to improvise?
Thanks
Soup

from memory klx250 uses the same side grommets under the gas tank, keep in mind the front and rear grommets from the kdx220sr are not the same as the kdx220r due to the steel tank

Ok thanks man! I'll look into the KLX250 to see if that stuff is available.

Were are you trying to order this stuff through? Maybe this is why my order doesn't show any progress when I placed it two weeks ago! I ordered it through Consolidated Motorcycle Spares, they always seemed to have the more accurate inventory where Partzilla you can't count on because anything that says available in 3 to 4 days is probably no longer available.... Have you tried searching the part number on ebay? There's always a substitute that works out for something NLA of this sort,, it's just a matter of finding it.

Look in the FUEL TANK section of the parts diagrams. Many of those are still available.
