Another FNG saying hi

Hi folks. I just picked up a 1984 kdx200 in the optional red color. I got it for less than I would pay for a full tank in my pickup here in the People's Republic of California. Currently it has no spark and upon further investigation the coil is bad and so is the stator. I'm sure I will be bugging you guys with all kinds of questions at some point.

I believe there are two different aftermarket ignition systems available for those, Vape / Power Dynamo, and I believe the other is HPI???

Thanks! I didn't even know what it was when my buddy sent me the blurry picture of it and said it was a Kawasaki. I don't remember ever seeing a factory red Kawasaki so I already knew I was going to buy it LOL

I believe there are two different aftermarket ignition systems available for those, Vape / Power Dynamo, and I believe the other is HPI???

I found a place called Regulator Rectifier and they seem to have a complete ignition system for this bike but I have never dealt with them. I'm trying to do a little more investigating. Some parts keep getting more difficult to find for these older bikes and when you do find them people want an arm and a leg LOL
