1990 kdx200 water pump seal position

Hello everybody I have 1990 kdx200 I’m rebuilding and I’m just wondering how this water seal pump gets installed . Right side picture or left ? I forgot to check before I disassembled thank you !

I'm guessing with the spring on the oil facing side? Just a guess...

I know there were some differences with the various years of E-Series as far as the parts in the shaft stack of water pump pieces. I run two H-Series bikes though, so I'm of little help beyond that.
