Got to get him at 100%
Does he have much experience on a bike ?
If he does get the bike and doesn't have much seat time
have him bring the quad also.
0% on a bike which leads me to believe if he comes, he'll bring the quad.

Which 4 are coming from CT?

Since you guys fart, snore & enjoy cuddling with each other... my bud & I reserved a room of our own in the Lodge. But we'll have 4 beds. So, possibly room for a couple more if anyone decides to tag along & needs a place to stay on May 13th or 14th. Hoping my brother will decide to go but he's on the fence atm. We'll hold bed #3 for him untill there's no hope.
The lady on the phone tells me they have a fire pit we can use. Who's bringing wood? (Logs for the fire that is.)
Anyone taking a laptop? If I can't snag one from work, I'll need a way to transfer helmet cam footage on Friday to free up memory cards.
Btw, my pal & I are C class riders. But we look damn good at being average.
In the stable: '00 KDX220R, '02 XR250R
Gone but not forgotten: '80 XR80, '87 XR200R, '94 KDX250, '01 YZ426F, '86 XR220R

No worries about what class riders you guys are.
We all go just to have a good time and if you happen to
be a little faster or a little slower you then ride in the front or back.
Me and my friend are C class riders for sure, he is on a quad I'll be on a bike. I can bring some firewood too. Who has room for us again? Let me know about compensation and everything, I'm still confused with the lodging situation.
AND, I'm all for going with the group, but is there any chance we will get a chance to break from the quads and run some of the single track, it musn't be missed!!

It's on my "to do list" for Saturday. I'll be breaking away for sure unless something drastic prevents it. The more, the merrier.

You guys wouldn't want to drive all that way and not hit the single track now would you ?
Break off where the single track starts then meet somewhere else.

I have my speed demon nephew coming. He'll be breaking away unintenionally! Yeah, I'm sure we'll have some "break out" sessions where the guys who want to roll and cover some serious miles quickly can cut loose.

Ok. So I lied, Rick. Yes. I do wish I was going. I would love to attempt some "mild" single track if there is such a thing. Guess I would have to learn to get to the "top of the hill before I stop?"

Yes, that is a must K! Don't stop til' your on the top! And leave room for others behind you to stop at the top too.

We only have three currently in our room - myself, Rick, Dustin. It's possible to have a fourth, Kirk, but I'm not very successful at a reply from him. Our room can sleep 7 best I can tell. Figure $30/night for the cabin but it'll probably be a few dollars less. So if you are a definite we'll secure 2 spots for you. Just say the word!
Tom Moody may be moving over to our cabin on Sunday PM but we'll make room somehow if we're full.
Are you bringing the RM250? If you do there will be three of us - your '03 and two '02s. That's a lot of yella in a kdx crowd!

You still have that trials tire on your bike ?
You leaving it on for this trip ?
Oh yeah, nothing but trials tires for me :). I was running one last time I was up there. It did great.
If my buddy comes we'll just get a room at the lodge. Hoping to get an answer from him tonight. If not, I'm hoping I can pull the truck up to somebody's campsite and camp out in the back.

Most of the single track at Rockhouse is on the scary side but then again I haven't seen all of it (and nothing wrong with trying it). The more reasonable stuff is at Bearwallow and maybe other places.

I sold the RM250 last year. I was going to avoid this if possible because it is KDXRIDER afterall, but I will be on a 2006 KTM 200XC that I just bought today. If you don't mind an orange bike, yes Jeb me and my buddy are a definite for this trip, but we will be down earlier than you, so we're going to try to hole up with the CT clan even if it means sleeping on the floor!
Some of the single track isn't too daunting, but some of it is insane. Luckily all of it is awesome. I remember trail 151 was nice, 176 was challenging, and 199 is scary as Jeb said.
I've seen helmet cam footage of #199. I dunno if I'll try that one or not. Depends on trail condtions &, more importantly, my condition. But I've heard if you go "down" 199 it's a little less daunting than going up?

If that's true of 199 it sounds a bit like 183 at Bearwallow. I'd never be able to go "up" that trail. Down is definitely doable, a little precarious in spots but the best stretch of single track I've ever ridden, the longest (I think) that Hatfield & McCoy has to offer. If we head out to Bearwallow we'll have to hit that. We ran out of time last year . . . but that's another story!!
