Downside to using front and rear headstays

Downside to using front and rear headstays

I finally decided to do a top-end on my bike. I quickly figured out that the downside to using both the front and rear headstays is that you can't do a top-end with the engine in the bike. There isn't enough clearance to lift the head or the cylinder off.

So after 45 minutes, I got to this point:

I thought my engine had good power and it always started on the 1st or 2nd kick, but I was obviously not getting the most out of my engine.

I rode around the back yard a little and there is a big difference in power. Now I really know what everyone means by 'easily lifting the front wheel'.

I think one headstay is enough....
