What is the oldest KX chassis to consider?

Have found a couple of rollers in the 400.00 range but one is a 96 and one is a 98? Would it be a worthwhile project or just wait for something newer?

I'd personally wait for 99 or 05 roller to show up. Might get it in a similar price range.

I would be patient and wait for at least a 99. I personnaly jumped on the 1st 99 model which had been underwater. I only paid $125 but the very next week, a 2001 model, in much better shape came available for $500? If we only had crystal balls!!
