hey fellas...iv got a 99 KX 125 frame and a 2000 KDX motor with a full FMF but i would like to bypass the denting and banging on the Gnarly pipe I have now...from what i have researched the PC Platinum 2 pipe fits near perfectly on most frames...I have a chance to get a like new PC Platinum pipe for much less than a brand new one and I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between the two and if the regular Platinum pipe would bolt on just as well as the Platinum 2 does.

ok....for what its worth...I bought the regular Platinum pipe...Ill post some pictures and details when im putting it on...hopefully it will bolt right up

hey guys and girls....well i got the swing arm cut and the motor mounted on the rear mount and head mount......front and bottom mounts are in the making....there is a problem with the pipe fitting....7 to 10 mm needs to be cut off of the head insert on the pipe....not 100% sure about the radiator clearance as I havent put them on yet...but as of now...the regular PC Platinum pipe has to be cut to fit around the front of the frame...i will post pictures as soon as possible

Hey there. I just started the exact same project -- a 2000 KDX motor in a '99 KX125 frame. I would be interested in the seeing the pipe pix.
A couple of questions:
- were you able to use the bottom motor mounts? It looks like they might work with a little grinding. They are just a tad too narrow
- What are you doing about the airbox. From what I can tell, I will need to mod it.
yeah, i will try and get the pics up today.....the mounts....i know what you meen about the bottom mounts being a little narrow....i sucked it up and just cut them off...i didnt want to do any more grinding on the motor after cutting the top head mount off....but i dont think there would be any problems with just grinding the bottom case mounts a little...as for the pipe...its being cut off by the head and 10mm is being added to clear the front of the frame.... the airbox is my next obstacle...when i fitted it on the subframe it actually hit the motor where the reeds are...there was absolutley no room for the carb....i was going to try and put a KDX boot on it....ebeck says that could be a good way to do it...but as of now i havent gotten that far...i have taken apart the entire airbox, its just a matter of buying a KDX boot now...

ok, im almost done with the exhaust fitting...but im in a bit of a bind...i lost my pipe hangers from the KDX and to order new ones its gonna cost around $45...i dont want to spend that much on a small piece of metal and rubber or fab my own...i did, however, find some KX 125 pipe hangers on ebay for pretty cheap...does anyone know if the KX pipe hangers will fit or if i need to stick with the KDX hangers?
