I've thinking about a hybrid for a while now. I see more and more 2000-2001 frames show up on the market for a reasonable price but at the same time keep hearing how much better the 03 to 05 is. Is it still woth going with an 00 to 02 frame?
I cant seem to find any rolling chasis either, am i better off buying a bike thats in good shape and selling the parts I dont need or building it from the frame up?

If you can find a newer completed bike, IMO you will come out ahead if you get it for 800 or less, assuming plastics and wheels and such are in good condition.
I think finding the most tricked out complete kx you can find would save you the most money in the end. You can always sell the kx motor on ebay to get some money back.
