Yes... you can use your KDX master cylinder and hose...
You will have to press your KDX stem out and press it into the KX lower tree but that is on all of them besides the KX 500 front end.
Go for it!

A 12 ton press usually will do the trick. Most will take them to a machinist to have it done.
The most important thing to remember is that it is pressed out through the bottom. And pressed in from the bottom of the lower tree.

I didn't have much luck finding a reasonable price for the press job so I bought a used Harbor Frieght 12 ton press on craigslist for $ 75. Popped right out with some heat from a propane torch. The whole USD fork project was well worth it and some of the best money I have spent on my KDX. Good Luck.

Histories of the project show that it all depends.
The KDX stem can come out slick..no sweat. It can also give commercial grade equipment a hernia.
Re: 'how do you press them in and out and is there a tool i need'
That question (assumed seeing as it's not even a sentence, let alone an interrogative) is begging for trouble.
That said, there have also been machine shops that couldn't handle the task.
If you're headed in the USD direction, get all the parts from the same machine or source if you can..don't mix and match wheels, spacers, clamps, axles and such. I'd suggest taking the bottom clamp assemblies to a reputable machinist and tell him what it is you need to have done....the final result I mean. Let hiim figure out how to do it.
Good Luck!

Ron is very meticulous in his work. I would trust him above all others for this type work. If it is not done right ( and I have had this happen) then your frontend will get real loose on you all of the sudden and you could really hurt yourself.
The problem ended up being is that I did not have the opportunity to talk to the machinist doing the job and he pressed the stem through the top weakening and stressing the aluminum in the lower tree so that when the stem was pressed in, it was only a matter of time before it let loose.
Needless to say, the money I spent on the triple trees and having the work done was down the drain.... it all had to be redone.
This was before Ron offered this service.
Send it to Ron for piece of mind.
