Yeah, Jason Jacobson, the guy who took over for me on the group purchase effort on getting UFO to do a batch of 80+ purple KDX shrouds, went all out last order and had them make EVERYTHING for the '95+ KDX in purple aside from the radiator louvers, which may even come in the future.

No, the hybrid is getting a NOS green Acerbis Elba headlight, which for many years now is only available in white, long since NLA in green...

I absolutely love the purple & green 1996 aesthetics, but going full purple on the plastics doesn't satisfy my tastes. The green frame, fenders, & headlight contrasted to the purple seat & shrouds (& scarce purple '96 radiator louvers & purple '96 KLX & KX fork protectors) is the look I prefer, with the right shroud graphics of course being a critical part of the aesthetic, and NOT the lighter pastel purple shade of graphics sold on eBay from at least one seller, the graphics have to be an accurate shade / hue of the Kawasaki violet purple...

If my wife does another cross country bicycle bikepacking journey, it'll get done this summer... If she's around home, it may as usual be a long slow process with sporadic hyperfocusing days occasionally...

Boyko Racing is going to be getting a KDX crank and a cylinder or two of mine soon. If I really push the time frame up, I may just pay RideJBI to revalve the '25 KX450X forks with all their current model KX Showa upgrade kit parts vs the DIY kit of the same parts and valving... This will speed it up, but even their DIY kit with all the parts and valving is $600+... This will not be a "return on investment" type build on expenditures like that or the titanium fasteners...

My focus is more on pertinent engineering-type details and less on aesthetic/cosmetic perfection, so keep that in mind if I post up an early version of it with scratched up side plates, rattle can Kawasaki #7F green tough up on the frame, a black front D.I.D. KX450X rim paired with a brand new Excel Takasago 18" rear rim laced to a '97-'02 KX125/250 rear hub

Besides the purple shrouds/seat and shroud graphics, the rest comes in time, if I get to it before the newness wears off and riding the thing becomes the main focus!

Once I get it going, the big push will be shock valving trials and tribulations setting up my '97-'04 RM125 / '02-'24 DRZ400 hybrid rear shock (or '24+ KX450/'25+ KX250 if I buy one to "match" my '25 fork) and getting the rear shock valving to play nicely with the KX125 linkage...

Back somewhat on topic, someone elsewhere posted that they finally tracked down a UFO KDX headlight, from SPAIN, for $150... I wondered why they didn't go direct through UFO, and they said they couldn't find them anywhere in the USA... Looking at the UFO website, they no longer show a green KDX reproduction headlight, or any colors at all listed for any KDX headlight... I'll start a new topic on that.

I also bought fenders, shrouds and such. No issues!
