Kick starter gear spur - alternative?

Post by KdxNsw »

Hi Guys,

I'm chasing a Kickstarter gear spur for my 1990 kdx 200F2. Cant find one anywhere.

Does anyone know of an alternative perhaps from another bike . Part number is 59051 1224 .
Apart from this issue the bike runs really well and would be a shame not to get it going again.

Cheers

A machinist can clean up your used spur gear ratcheting pawl faces with a milling machine and rotary turntable, then may need to heat treat it afterwards.

KdxNsw, the kickstarter assembly from the 90-94 200 E and 95-06 200/220 A/H series are all the same, I think a few parts were upgraded on the 89 E , all main part numbers are the same only the outer boss and kicker are different, this might give you more options if you have any local on a later model in good condition, there are few on US Eday but shipping might be pricey $$$.
