KDX SPOKE KITS

Post by DDR26 »

Excel appears to be the only company that offers spoke kits for the KDX200. My question is will their spoke kits work with PRO WHEEL rims or WARP 9 rims or only with the far more expensive EXCEL rims? I would like to put black rims on both of my KDX's but neither PRO WHEEL or WARP 9 over spoke kits for the KDX. I have seen pictures of KDX's with black rims so someone must know what the combination is that will work.

You can drill out the hub, this is what I had to do. Otherwise, 98 and older KX spokes are the same fit (in 18" length). Also........http://www.prowheelracing.com/big-bike- ... bon-steel/

Are you sure? I just ordered a set from pro wheel yesterday for the rear wheel. You could also try Buchannan Spokes. I almost ordered from them but I couldn't get exactly what I wanted. They are a custom spoke mfg I believe.

I looked at Pro Wheels website and they don't list them for the KDX. If I call them direct you say they can set me up with the right spokes for their wheel and my KDX hub? That would be great. I'm getting all the parts together for a full restore on my 1990.

Ooooo didn't realize you had a e-series. Sorry about that. I ordered these ones for my h series 18" rim and kx125 hub http://www.prowheelracing.com/big-bike- ... ess-steel/

I would really think they would be able to hook you up with what you wanted. In my search for spokes and nipples for my project, they were the only ones I could find that had what I needed. Plus, they make and sell every part you need to build a set of wheels. I would be surprised if they couldn't help.

Also, just a thought, I have an h series hub in great shape with good bearings sitting in the garage. If you can't get e series spokes and that hub would work for you, Id give ya a good price on it!

I didn't even realize the hubs were different since I have switched out the back wheel from my 01 to my 1990 and then back again a few times. That hub of yours might me the best way to go. Let me know how much you would need for it.

Buchanan Spoke can hook you up with any size, to fit any wheel, and style of spoke you could want for the E-series.
