Re: 1988 KDX Carb
The 88 KDX 200 had the Keihin carb. The only thing that I think sets it apart from the carb off of later models is the choke lever is accessed from the right side.

The Mikuni round slide is a dependable, trouble free carb, that you should be able to get running ok on your bike.
Not always the most tunable power producer, though.
I have a Keihin PJ 36 that would probably be a good match, if you are interested.

what he said, but I will add this:doctord23 wrote:The 88 KDX 200 had the Keihin carb. The only thing that I think sets it apart from the carb off of later models is the choke lever is accessed from the right side.
see if the needle is OEM specific, or does it match a Keihin brand needle.

Re: 1988 KDX Carb
The airbox is on the left, so it has to have the oddball lever that comes from the left over to the right.

Re: 1988 KDX Carb
Didn't the 88 get a PWK? I'd stick with that. Used KDX PWKs are generally around ebay.

Re: 1988 KDX Carb
The 1988 KDX200 has a PWK35, but the choke has a special lever, so it can be engaged from the right side of the bike.
