New to me 89 KDX in Fernie BC Canada

Hey everyone. Great site here.
I just picked up an 89 KDX . Grew up on dirt bikes, but been away from them for almost 20 years .
This is my first 2 stroke, and I have to say I love it. Only previous exp on 2 strokes was on moto x CR's and YZ's and hated the on or off power and no bottom end . This KDX is a Whole different world .. its a dream on tight trails . Im hooked and would like to learn everything I can about these machines .
Mine has a fresh motor, but the rest of the bike is a little tired and weathered. Im riding it as is for now, but would like to to give it an overhaul over the winter . I have lots of tech questions and specific 89 questions, but ill save those for the E series forum.

Welcome aboard green bastard. I got a 220 last fall, same thing as you,been away from bikes for 25+ years, now at 56 I'm riding more then I ever did. Got a lot of lost time to make up for, heading up to squamish tomorrow in fact!

Where you from javaman ? Must be Vancouver or near there if
you ride in Squamish . I'm from the coast originally .
I grew up in white rock . Moved to the east kootenays
a few years ago and love it out here . But I do miss the ocean.
