I use a purple polish that I get at a truck stop here in Missouri. It's for aluminum, brass, copper, etc. It also works great on foggy plastic headlights and tail lights. It's a liquid and not a paste. Made by California Customs, I believe.
I use a hand cleaner like Gojo or Fast orange, little bit on a nylon brush does the trick.
Follow up with 303 aerospace protectant to restore the shine.
Also works real well for cleaning aluminum, chains, grease covered parts, etc.
I have had good luck with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser if the scratches are not to deep. Finish it up with Maxima SC1 Clear Coat Spray. This really works good on black plastic.
Thanks for the tips guys. Plastics in the tub. Mmmmm. Looks like one more dirt bike owner is going to hear about it from his wife about having plastics in the tub.
Whoa that was close!!! Damn kid is too fast for me to try and keep up to.

I love the cat checking things out. Probably thinking "Man oh man he is in trouble again will he never learn that only cats can get away with things like that. Not men and certainly not some stupid dog"

Picked up some MR. Clean Magic eraser tonight. I hope it doesn't scratch up the plastics. I will report back tomorrow on the results. I already have a can of Maxima SC1 Clear coat. I will give that a shot as well.
Thanks for the help folks.

Holy doodle. The plastics look like they probably did in 05 when the bike hit the showroom floor. Thanks for the tips guys. Magic eraser and the Maxima clear coat. What a team. Thanks for heads up on not getting any of the maxima stuff on things like the seat. That stuff is seriously slick when it dries.
I took before and after pics but the bike owner aka Devin the 15 year old clueless teenager took the memory card out of the camera to upload his ALS challenge video and didn't put it back in the camera. Of course I didn't have my glasses on and although the camera was chirping at me like never before I couldn't read the screen. So, the long and the short of it is there are no before pics are available. Anybody out there have kids who have gone through the clueless teenager stage? when can I hope for it to end?
Thanks guys. At first I thought it was a silly question but the results are amazing.

When they move out and get a really well paying job and a spouse to take care of them.
Would love to see the results IF you ever get the flash card back.....
Oh yeah, this weekend, out riding, my wife couldn't figure out what was wrong w/her camera either.....Seems that her husband took the flash card out to up load some race pictures and didn't put it back (although I do have spares in the camera bag).....It NEVER ends
