Replacing counter sprocket oil seals
Hey guys, my oil seal on my 87 200 leaks oil, its one of the last 4 things left to fix before i get it plated, any help me out on the easiest way to replace it, i so far am on getting a self taper and screwing in and then pulling it out with pliers.

I picked up a seal puller for 12 bucks and it popped  very easy,  before that I was doing the same thing. Save yourself some grief.

Replacing counter sprocket oil seals
Consider replacing your CS sprocket and the metal collar at the same time as the seal and o-rings.  They all work together as a system to seal, and if you replace only the rubber parts, but the metal parts are also worn, you might not get your leak to stop.  Ask me how I know!
Why the CS sprocket? When the snap ring is in place, the sprocket is actually pressed against the collar, which then presses against the o-rings on the shaft.
