87 KDX front brake

Post by xcracer »

Hello,

I have an 87 KDX, and the front brake caliper is getting quite sloppy.
I did some quick googling on what brake would bolt right on in it's place, but didn't see too much, so I figured I'd ask here quickly.

Any input?

Also, I'd like it if it fits the same pads, because I JUST put a brand new set of pads in my brakes....

Let me know,
Thanks
Mark

This may be a stupid question but did you bleed the brakes? and if so just rebuild it. im pretty sure they sell rebuild kits.

Looks like the KX500 uses the same caliper (43041-1084). There's a few nice used ones on ebay right now for $40-$60..

Look on ww.kawasaki under OWNER INFO / PARTS DIAGRAMS, then select your model. Click on the part number and when the box comes up, click on the yellow circle with the question mark in it. It will tell you which other bikes came with that same part number.
