1987 kdx 200 Need seat foam and cover

Post by tncsparky »

First off Hello everyone.
So I just picked up a bike for my kid and have decided to dust off my old kdx.
The seat foam is in bad shape and the cover has tears. I am having trouble locating a replacement foam and cover.

What are my options?
Go to an upholstery shop?

Welcome to the forums!

You probably remember CEET from back in the day.

Read up on what a gripper cover is and its characteristics.

Thanks for the replies. I forgot about Ceet, it didn't come up when I was searching EBAY. That looks like a pretty good deal.

edit
Just bought it. I had a 10% off code for EBAY that expired in an 1/2 hr. This has worked out great

Cool. You may want to get an upholstery shop to put it on, if you don't have the tools and time, or if it seems too much trouble.

A buddy got a Ceet gripper cover put on the 1987 KDX, and he found an upholstery shop that only charged $15 or $20, so it was just easier that way.
