You can buy risers for that clamp. RMATV has some for $17 and $19. OR you could mount some Pro Taper bars using the universal adapter (which gives you rise), the 2nd one I recommend since the cockpit of the kdx from the factory is tight. You could also, maybe should also, source forks from an H series, these use the rubber mounted bar clamps and the forks are WAY better than the older E forks. I'm not sure that you can just swap the top triple without doing the whole front end...which is better anyways.

I know a C model upper triple was a direct swap/ Maybe a 1995+ KDX upper clamp will also be a direct swap.

If you "need" risers, I can't imagine the bolt-in risers being the best way to go. The bars are already a bit back in stock form/angle. Risers would put them further into the lap.

On my 94 I use Pro Taper bars in the Windham bend (a high bend, mild pull back) and PT bolt on converters ('cause there is no other option). This set up really opened up the pit, a lot. It ended up being expensive, more than I thought, due to all the things that you end up needing, but totally worth it. Because this set up is so tall, the bars don't really come back into your lap, but a little towards your chest, which works great, especially in the attack position, which was almost impossible to get in w/the stock bars. One thing to note when going with risers, finding a good (forward/backwards) clock takes a little playing with. I ended up just a touch forward of 0°, the PT bars have marks that help with this. Others that I know clock theres backwards a tad. It's all personal opinion/feel.

First thanks for all your sugestions, the reason for the risers is that i'm 6'4 and do feel cramped and since the bars are angled seems like i'm limited in options ..i do like the idea of the front end swap but not there yet$$$.. :supz: ..btw which one is the C?
