1984 KDX 200

Post by 2oldstroke »

I'm restoring an old KDX that's been sitting around for a while but doesn't have a lot of miles.
The air filter is falling apart but I can't seem to find one on line. UNI says they have one but the picture doesn't match the
filter in the bike (could just be a generic photo). I also need a new petcock------where's the best place to find these old parts?
Your help will be very appreciated.

I had good luck getting filters for my '87 200 and '83 250 from No Toil.

The petcock should be easy to replace, as long as it's the same as on my '83. The bolt pattern and o-ring seal is the same shape and size as all Kawasaki petcocks up even to the modern era, so you should be able to source a cheapie from eBay. That's what I did, and it works fine. I just searched for a KX petcock. If memory serves, it came ready to use for $20 shipped.

Good luck, and post up some pics!
