Congrats, and welcome to KDXRIDER! Something to be aware of, the KDX220 was not released until 1997. Your 1994 is probably a KDX200 or 200/250SR. Some pics will help us identify it for you.
Displacement should be stamped on the cylinder. 198cc for the 200, 216cc for the 220, and I think 249cc for the 250. Also the 95+ 200 / 97+ 220 looks quite a bit different from the 89-94 (e-series) 200. The e bikes are single down tube, while the later model 200/220 are perimeter framed.
Nice looking bike Uggski... the one I'm picking-up today looks very similar, but has RWU forks with gators, not USD's like yours. It does have a perimeter frame, but it's finished in factory green.
The seller has stated it's an import (US, I think?), and is certain it's a '94 220. It's all a bit confusing, but I guess I'll discover what the true story is in a couple of hours time.
I think the frame and engine numbers should also start with 220, mine do, but I'm not sure about the American ones. I'm pretty sure the previous poster is right though. The 220 was not released in the US until 97.
If it is a 220 then the year isn't that important. At least in the US. They were the same from 97-05. Post a pic if you get a chance. It looks like the forks might be the biggest difference. Is the gas tank plastic or steel?
