Couple of btws....

The 1125 you refer to is the length of the oem pull rods, they are 112.5mm in length (center-to-center). A longer rod will lower the rear of the bike.

Check the torque specs in the front of the manual...tighten as required. The unitrack-to-frame fastener is in too close a space to get any torque wrench on it (that I have, anyway). You can use one of the pull rod fasteners as a guide to how much 'squeeze' you put on the frame bolt. The specs are within a few ft/lb of each other.

Very poor vision and 2 broken wrists.

For anyone that knows how to decrypt this my vision is;

Left eye = 6/6-2
Right eye = 6/15-2

These figures are after having the corneal graft. My astigmatism (sp?) before surgury was 8.8 and it is now 1.8. I really don't understand all of this but I thought some of you fella's would.

The story goes like this:

In December 03 I stacked on some whoops and broke both wrists. It took a fair while for them to get close to healing enough to ride. So come August / September 04 I was real close to going for ride but I recieved a call from the eye hospital on the 1st of Semptember saying we have a donored graft that is suitable for you, you have to come in here tomorrow morning 9am to have the surgery tomorrow evening at 6pm. So here I sit almost 12 months since the graft and have been given a script to go and get glasses. So from December 03 until now I have been incapacitated to some extent. Sorry for the hijack and the dribble.

There are two bearings in the triple clamp/steering area. Look behind the headlight. Do you see the "this 200X motorcycle meets blah, blah, blah" sticker? There is one bearing on the top and one on the bottom. Look through some of the Gallery pictures on KX fork conversions and you will see some pictures of the two bearings.

You basically take your forks off the bike for this...sounds hard than it is... I think I can do it in about a half hour or so. Should be in the manual I recon...

Don't let those steering head bearings go too long. They are expensive, and the bottom bearing will go pretty fast if it's not taken care of.

You cannot feel the first signs of impending doom with the wheel and bars on. It will feel smooth. Take off the wheel and bars, lock-to-lock the triple clamps and you may well feel the 'snick' of the bearing race going away.

If that's as bad as it is you can remove the race, rotate it 90º, put it back in. Probably will be fine.
