Similar to the thread going on about a GPR damper, I am wondering about mounting a WER steering damper when I convert my H series to '01 KX125 forks.
I don't
think it will be a problem because the frame bracket should not be affected. I expect the damper will bolt up to the bottom of the triple in the same way. I have a newer KX front fender on my bike, and it bolted right up. I hope the 2001 KX fender/damper mounting bolt pattern will be the same as the newer fender. My main concern is that the bigger fork tubes will create some kind of interference.
Has anyone done this? Am I headed for issues mounting this damper with stouter forks on my KDX? Here are some pics of the damper and the way it mounts. Thanks.

I had no problem mounting my WER to my yz250 front. Just had to drill new holes in the lower mounting plate.

I just converted my H.
Had a WER on there before.
It bolted right up to the new KX lowers perfectly.
My KX trips are 99 125s

Yup. If the fender bolt holes in the lower triples line up, no need to make any alterations. The yz had a slightly different pattern, and I had to elongate the rear holes.

Good to hear, guys. Thanks for the responses. One question down, several to go I am sure.
IHF, sounds like we do have pretty similar bikes. Got any pics to post or anything up in the profile section?

Yep, I have a WER for mine as well. Bolted on with no mods to the plate.
