2003 kx250 fork conversion q?

hi, i have found someone selling just the kx250 fork legs (no triple clamps or axle/wheel) from an '03 for my kdx220 '01.

can my triple clamps and axle be modified to accept the legs or so i need the whole kx250 setup: triple clamps and axle?

No, you can not use your triples. You could possibly have a new axle machined and use your front wheel.
