KDX200 rider size?
I would like to know what size riders are on the KDX200s out there. I recently bought one, and it feels good to me, but I am 6'2", 230lbs and when I talk to people about having a KDX, they tend to look kinda funny at me. I don't think it is too small, but am curious about the other riders out there.

we'll I haven't ridden mine much but I'm 6"4 185lbs and I have a 89 200. seat height is fine but the bars and tripples are too close and can't be adjusted unlike the h series bikes. I'm thinking once I get more seat time (cylinder being replated ) I will opt for some Jimmy Button bend bars or some rox risers. I'll also have to find some springs for the soft forks on the e series I have as I'm sure you will have to do too.
Other than that I think the fit feels good, but honestly I need more seat time.

I eventually gave Mr KTM my tube, after he patched his 3 times
He borrowed my pump 5 times before I just let him carry it
I replaced the tube in my pack with this (prepowdered and shrink wrapped)
We'll see how long the powder lasts

I used to be 265 when I was working
Certain slimy conditions, I can get awesome traction when lighter folk just sit there and spin
Just ask that fugger from Idaho that rode with us a couple years ago

This is a 2-stroke bike that can easily straddle the two worlds of trail riding and competition. The only other 2-stroke that can do that (that I'm aware of) is the Husky WR250... if it fits your budget!zomby woof wrote:5'7" 155lbs. I cut the seat down, but didn't really have to.
When I sold my 00 220, one of the guys looking at it said, these are like a 3/4 size bike aren't they? I don't know where people get these ideas.
Usually a change of bars and/or risers can make a KDX 200 fit just about anyone.
A friend I used to ride with during the last century urged me to go with a 4-stroke; back then he also owned an '84 KDX 200 and he never liked the hit, the smoke, the noise. After he test rode the '99 I just picked up, his first words were "Boy, that has more bottom end than I remember." I pointed to the KIPS valve and smiled. I also pointed out how light the machine was and pointed out that no XR / DR / DRZ was going to be that light. The KDX is a very versatile machine for riders who have a few miles under their belts.

My KDX is just as tall as my KTM 250. The ergonomics feel different between the two bikes, but not because the KDX is any smaller, just different.
I would venture to guess that the people saying KDX's are 3/4 size bikes have never ridden or owned one, other wise they wouldn't be making this incorrect statement. Just my opinion.

I know that my KDX feels a helluva lot bigger than a '05 Yamaha WR250! The WR feels like a slightly larger TTR125!
