Fork Conversion & Scotts Damper Question..
Posted: 08:02 pm Nov 30 2010
Now that the fork conversion is done, I'm thinking about the next step.
Are the damper pins (the part that bolts to the steering head) adjustable for height? How do they go about allowing for taller bar clamps? BRP has 3 different heights available for their Scotts compatible clamp it looks. Is it a "1 pin fits all" or do you have to get a different one if you go from the stock height bar clamps to the taller ones? Or is this dealt with in the arm that goes from the damper to the pin?
And how about the added height of the top clamp from the spacer used in the conversion? Is there enough pin height to allow for this with the given bar clamp height?
Trying to get all my info straight now, to prevent buying stuff that won't work later.
Thanks.. Tom
