Can anyone tell me if the shock used on 96-06 kdx’s was used on any other dirt cycle? I have yet to find a parts fiche with the o rings in the top deepening adjuster.

Actually, It's DAMPING. To dampen means to make something wet.

KDXGarage will likely have the answer as he has all the secret Kawi books laying around his shop seemingly lol. I do know that most of the parts on the 200/220 shock are the same as those on the E200, 91-94 KDX250, 94-96 and 06-07 KLX250R/S, the 97-07 KLX300, 93-96 KLX650R and the 87-200 KX125/250/500. Not all those share the same shock length, but you could probably get pretty close. If you have the orings out you can measure them and order through a number of sources online (McMaster-Carr, etc).

Just measure and buy new viton.
Any reason you took the compression adjuster out? Were you changing oil?

Thanks for the replies. Even appreciate the help from grammarguy. Yes I am doing an oil change and replacing leaky seal.
