Time is flying by, and spring will be here before we know it. Things have changed at my work, so I have to schedule most of my vacation a week at a time. So.... I need to plan this soon. I was thinking about the 2nd or 3rd weekend in May? Any ideas? Please chime in soon. I will probably have to schedule my vacation this week. Thanx! C'mon ya'll, you know you wanna go! Always a great time.

As luck would have it, a few of my friends & I are planning another trip there in late April or early May. Probably Rockhouse and/or Indian Ridge+Pinnacle Creek. Where are you headed?

Not sure yet. We have done Rockhouse, Bearwallow, and Jeb has done little coal, maybe another. (his mom lives near by). Up for suggestions. We try to do a 4 day or so trip, Thur.-Sun... leave Monday. What did you have in mind, and how many would be in your group? We try to reserve a cabin....

Because it's a closer drive, and provides us with two systems from the front porch, we usually rent a cabin at Ashland Resort. Indian Ridge trailhead with a connector to Pinnacle Creek. (We know a back way to PC from IR too via the Outlaw trails.) Rockhouse is under consideration, but we'll see. There's a chance our group could be 7 or more this time, but likely 4 at a bare minimum. We range in skill from C class all the way up to AA & typically put down
a lot of mileage. Arrive Fri around noon & leave Sun is more typical for us.
Once you decide which weekend you can do it, I'll suggest to my group we go the same weekend... if we'll be going to the same system.

Ok, I will get with Jim (Jeb on here) and try to start on a plan. He is more familiar with everything there.

Hey Varmint, do you think your crew will make it this year? I hope so, cause it was a blast!

Hey, most of ya are middle-aged farts like me??
Figured I might share something too from the 'ol HM. In my defense, I am a better rider since this footage was taken & not a KDX owner at the time.

It's steeper than it looks on film.

I'm in like Flynn . . . it's great to see the interest already.
I hope to see the whole Connecticut gang show up, you know, token Yankees (LOL). Really, I can't wait to ride with y'all again.
Like Rick and I, wild horses could keep Tom Moody away. I'll bet Kurt and Austin can make it this year.
Tom Moody said it best - we're like family!!
Indawoods has to come down this year, I know it wasn't practical last go around. So think hard man!!! And bring a pal or two from up that way.
I'm open to where ever, sometimes something different is good. Rockhouse and Bearwallow are my personal favorites, there's more to offer in terms of size and variety. Keep in mind that the good thing about being in either Man or Gilbert (Rockhouse) is that ALL of the trails are within 1/2 to 1.5 hr away . . . in the middle. However it works out, if we DO end up at two different places we could get together for a ride.
Timing? I'm cool with either the 2nd or 3rd week, statistically slightly less chance of being rained out in the 3rd week. So . . . May 19 through the 23?

Any time sounds good to me but can't commit to anything right now.
On a emergency waiting list for surgery right now to fix a screwed up shoulder but is scheduled in February.
6 weeks of PT then whatever time it takes to get back to normal.
If there's a will there's a way.
