Quad trails in maine

Went to old ochard last week and noticed that quads and snowmobiles can cross the the border from canada and keep riding in maine. Quad trails are not my favorite and bikes are not welcome in the ones on the canadian side of the border...not yet anyways. Are bikes allowed in the atv trails in that area because that it would be interesting to put down some miles in that area.
