Well, I installed my FRP .40kg springs(I'm 190 w/o gear) and I used mobile 1 synthetic ATF as fluid. I rode around the house and it felt good, but the real test will be this weekend. Anyone have a similar set up and like it. This is on a 2004 KDX220R.

I have close to the same set up only I used xr400 springs. I am also about 190 lbs. I really like this set up. I like the way my bike handles in the rocky, rooty, steep terrain that I ride.

Cool. I am going to give it a good run tomorrow on some pretty technical trails. I'll let you know how it goes.

SUCCESS! :supz: The bike was great with the new set up. For all you weekend warriors a simple spring swap and fluid change will make a world of difference. I am sure revalving would be even better but its just not in my budget right now.

I was really worried that the Mobil 1 wouldn't work. Most internet searches said it was a 7.5wt which would be perfect, but I did find one guy that claimed is was more like 15-20 weight. I figured if that was true then I might have been in for a harsh ride.

Shoot me a PM and tell me what's up. We need to go riding sometime.

Let's hook up and continue to show all these MTDR KTM junkies that KDX still rule in the woods!!
