I have now found 2x H series bikes for what I believe is reasonable locally, I have also found what appears to be a E series engine. Lets just say that the engine will need some SERIOUS work (full rebuild) and is missing a CDI. Granted I would probably rebuild the H series motor at some stage anyways.
Now firstly, IF it is worth just getting the engine, is it even adviseable. From Dfeckel's build it seems better to rather go with the H series engines if I want to avoid denting the pipe, but I see in this build that a E series was used:

Also, how do engine numbers work for the E vs H series bikes, any way of telling what series it is from the engine number?
And lastly, can one swap cranks from E to H or vice versa? I might have found a seized H series, maybe I can use the two motors to build one.
