Not that I've seen, but I'd love to see progress from yours! I'm expecting we'll be able to pick up 250f rollers pretty cheap in the coming years, and I've been waiting for someone to do this!
Aluminum welding is a bit trickier than steel. You'll need to find a welder who is good with a TIG machine. Not too much of a trick, as most welders these days have good experience welding aluminum.

from what i could tell in the dirt rider article its more work then its worth. you be much better off using a honda cr125 frame.
the older 04/05 250fs have a solid tube cradle, no split for the exhaust, and poor suspension to boot.
But, hey mabe its all about the challenge for ya so go for it!!

I was at a dealer the other day and really looked over a 09 & 10 KXF 250 and the down tube in front of the motor looks like that would be the biggest problem to get around...Id like to see some up close pic's of those bikes the guy in Ohio builds using 2 strokes in the newer 4 stroke frames.
Does anyone know of one or seen one ??

Look at the service Honda stuff. They do it with 250s and 500s... wonder why they never did a kdx motor.. maybe bc noone gonna pay $10k for a kdx... but i wouldnt pay that for a 250 mx.. now a KX500AFX... if i only had the $$$$$
