Sunstar Z-Sprocket

It looks pretty funky. You can judge for yourself - pics posted in the Gallery.

After 150 miles in some gritty New England slop it's still looking good. The RK X-ring is holding up well too. Can't imagine worse conditions for a chain and sprocket to be put through (well, short of attaching them to a KX500) so this is a real torture test.
It's been raining for a month here in NH and shows no sign of letting up so the abuse will continue.

Just talked to a local shop owner (and moto-racer/woodsrider) about 'em. He says they outwear anything. And they're cheap (comparatively speaking).

FWIW.....

If you ever did lose your chain in the deep woods...at least you could saw some firewoods quickly!

Is 49T the only one they make for the KDX?

LOL...Munkeybutt has it, but only in 47T. There's got to be a kawi cross reference as they've got to be the same as a ton of bikes??

Same sprockets fit KX KDX KLX from 82-05. From Parts Canada they list 48 tooth to 52 for the Z sprockets. My 220 has over 2000 miles on a 48 tooth Z sprocket with no or little wear.
