How to clean carb?

Removed the carb from the bike and bought some cleaner.
Removed the float bowl, jets, and needle.
Do I remove the float and float valve as well? And also, how should I go about cleaning it?

Better to remove the float and valve before that pin comes loose and you lose it

I take everything apart.
Even this thing that you need a security torx bit for
I soak it all in degreaser and then toothbrush all the grime and crud off.
I'll then use the carb cleaner in the can to blow out and clean all the passage ways. Finally I'll run some fine wire through the jets to make sure nothing is stuck in there.

The jet block o-ring/gasket in that pic looks shot and will not re-seal properly.

Good luck! If you find some let me know, I need one too. Best bet is not to remove the jet block if you don't have to, and don't soak the carb body in anything that will damage that gasket. Keihin does not list it as a replaceable part.
