Mine was in the paper. $850 OBO, talked him down to $800 and when I got it home found out that it was worth closer to $450-$500....every bearing on the bike was toasted and the piston/rings were shot...among other problems! Oh well next time i'll look a smidge closer...

eBay: $1800 and in almost showroom condition. Close enough to drive (450 miles) and see before handing cash over.

bot my '90 for $700 from a friend last september. he bot it two years prior for $800 and then put another chunk of change in it---pc pipe and silencer, boyesen 607's, unifilter, michlin s12's front and rear, ceet cover, scott grips, plastics, new(used cyl) by ebay, rebuilt top end including kips service.....and about $60 in jets. talk about a deal! the new bikes definitely aren't 6 times faster.

My brother had purchased mine new from the dealer in 1997 (though it's a 1995 model). He had it for a few years, then needed money...and I've had it since.

I first wanted an XR250 and did a search of what Honda and Kawasaki offered and saw that bang-for-the-buck, the KDX was the winner hands down.
