PIAA 35W Halogen Bulb

I needed a new bulb for my KDX housing. I went around to a few places looking for the H6M bulb without luck. By chance my local repair shop had one of the PIAA halogen lights so I bought it.

Granted, it has been a while since I rode in the dark so I didn't do a back to back test, but I think this bulb is a little brighter. Maybe it just seems brighter because it it a whiter light. Is it worth $30 when a regular one is $6? If you're the type person that spares no expense on your bike you might think it is worth it, but then if you are that type person you probably already upgraded your lights to something else. If you are a tightwad then you might not think you got your money's worth. The claim is that it puts out the same amount of light as a 60w bulb. I wouldn't agree with that. It is a little bit brighter and a little bit whiter but not a huge amount.

Where did you find a stock bulb for $6? The Kawi replacement is $24.

Great, thanks! I couldn't believe Kawi wanted $24 for a headlight bulb.
