I was curious to se if anyone rides with Klim Adrenaline GTX boots. http://www.klimusa.com/products.php?newTheme=dirt

I use these boots for snowmobiling and have had great comfort and support from them for years. I am not to stoked about breaking in another set of moto x boots and curious to see if anyone rides with these boots or had any thoughts about a good set of boots that are not to rigid and stiff for riding.

(I'm looking for a flexible pair of riding boots)
I looked at those boots. They are not a riding boot (snowmobilers have very different needs), but you can ride in anything from flip-flops to ski boots if you want.
If they are comfortable for you, then go for it. They won't give you the protection of a motorcycle boot, though.

I ordered a pair of thor 50/50 boots and a set of shin guards. I have to say
I really have enjoyed the flexability you get with this set up. If you have not tried these boots you missing out. FYI the full boots I was wearing when I went down took all the flexability out of my ankle and leg and caused the break to be more severe, although I am sure this was a rare situation.

I've read about this more than once - that a full mx boot caused more damage b/c it didn't allow the joints to move and flex like they should.

I've really started thinking about getting something like the 50/50 boot and shin guards.

Anyone else use something other than a standard mx boot when riding?

If you want flexibility from an MX boot, hinged is the way to go. A friend of mine just got these, and I'm super impressed with the quality, and he says they are comfy comfy.

Replacable sole insert, hinged, etc. etc. and yada yada. A lot of features you won't find shy of $300 in any other boot....

Personally I'm afraid of ankle injuries. My ankles are not that strong, and a 50/50 boot would just leave me feeling nervous!
