Hose Clamps

I'm in the process of a top end overhaul and I've had to remove the radiators and some related cooling hoses. Much too my surprise, all of the hose clamps (even the ones used for the connection of the silencer and pipe) were very loose. Any ideas on why and how to avoid this? I'm thinking it's either vibration or the rubber hoses compressing over time. I think a little blue loctite on each clamp is in order. Comments?

I've got a 95 200 and that has never happened to me. Seems you need a better brand or something.

Well, though the clamps for the connection I used for the silencer and pipe were done by myself a few years ago, all the others are OEM. They appear to be stainless and in perfect shape.
