Lighting coils and spark..

Been around this before..that an aftermarket lighting coil gives a hotter spark.
I changed my sparky for grins yesterday. When it gets to not remembering how long it's been since, it's time to change it. (Maybe I should write it down, 'eh? What a concept!!).
My BR8EG came out a bit over .040". Worked great!
Uh...no...I didn't write it down this time, either!
