Can it be done? The 90 kdx200 is messed up. A circlip came out and tore up the cylinder bad. I dont want to buy a new cylinder, i dont want to replate, i'm going to junk it if i can't resleeve it, can it be done and how?

I have never had it done... I replace if they are that bad. Much better.

you dont have the basic idea? Is this something i could do or does it get done by someone?

Sure... they bore it within an inch of it's life... put a sleeve in and bore it to spec.
You definately have to have it done ...the tolerences are in the microns...

Why not replate?
Never heard anything good about a sleeve

i thought a resleeve would be something i could do. If it still requires a pro's help i'd just replate.

Your first question was can it be RE sleeved, meaning it had a sleeve in it. I don't think it does.
Repairing the cylinder or buying new or used and replating is the way to go.
Replating has its own issues. Do a search and a little reading
Dang circlips. I've never had one come loose, but I can sure see how they might and make a mess of things.

it was 100% my error... i didn't do a good job supervising a friend doing the work.

There is allot of discussion about the circlip issue.

I had US Chrome do one for me last year. They did a great job on it but i have heard other folks complain about their work. Maybe I got lucky for once. I sent a new Wiseco with it to make sure the tolerances were right on.
I wouldnt do the sleeve thing. Known to cause heat dispersion problems. Hot spots that can kill your rings.

I agree with Topper. Skip the sleave, go for the plating.
