Lots of soapy water to "slicken" the bead area, and lots of air pressure - like up to 50 psig

Copied from another site....I tried this & worked GREAT
Put your rim lock and valve stem with in 4 inches of each other (not opposite sides of the rim) and put the tube in the tire 1st before trying to mount it, Once you have the techice of mounting tires, this tip will cut your times down dramitally. The tube always stays in the tire, even when dispmounting. I use fat car tire irons, never pinched a tube with one yet and i use to be able to change front and rear in 10 minutes, of course it took another 20 minutes to lay everything out in a surgical fashion and then to put everything away"

One trick to seat the bead to the rim is to ride it around at low pressure. It will usually pop right in. I would take a spin up and down my street a few times to get the stiffer rear tires to seat right. Maxxis seem to be the worst and Michelin the easiest to seat.

If it doesn't seat with 50psi, let the air out, break the beads, goop it up summore (again) and try to reseat it.

Yeah...if 50psi won't work, 75psi might...but you're getting close to having an explosive experience.

With a decent amount of lubrication (whatever your choice), 50psi should be plenty!

No amount of pressure is going to seat the bead if your rim lock is in the way!
