Trials Tire - One or Two

Things are starting to dry out on the NW trails so I have been itching to try a trials tire. Was leaning toward the Michelin X11.

I was planning on mounting both front and back with heavy duty tubes. But a friend swears the better set up is to only run it in the back. Use the knobbie (Dunlop 756) in the front to prevent wash out and get the benefits of the good traction on the rocks in the rear.

What do you think or should I just go for it and go front and rear?

Thanks for your time, Steve

Trials bikes don't see the forces and speeds on the front tire as offroad bikes do. **I PERSONALLY WOULDN'T RUN A FRONT TRIALS TIRE**

I can't speak highly enough of the Dunlop 803 rear trials tire. The one on my WR250f has 750 miles on it and still hooks up as good as a new S12 and way better than an S12 with a few rides on it. Some of my friends are starting to drink the trials tire coolaid as well. So far it has been tried on a RMX250, 250EXC, and WR450. All have raved about it, not really sure how the longevity will be on those bikes though, they all have been put on recently.

Last week I put a D803 front trials tire on the WR but have not had a chance to try it anywhere but in front of my house. It does great stopies...
