I've noticed a few small drops of oil after starting my 03 KDX 220 for short periods of time (5 min or so) in the garage. Is this normal, I didn't really notice it after a full ride but I'm a newbie to 2-strokes for sure. Or if this is an issue what should I do to fix it. Thanks guys for the help!!

Leaks there are common. You may need to permatex it. Use the high heat stuff I think it is orange but could be wrong. If you permatex it put it on the pipe side not the head side. It should close any gaps you have.

Yup, use some high temp RTV like radonc said.

As above... The high temp stuff you want is usually orange or copper sorta color, it may even contain copper from memory. There are 2x o-rings and a copper crush washer to prevent the leak at the header and yours may be flogged out. You could either try new o-rings and a crush washer or high temp sealant.

Short runs in the garage will not let the engine get to it's proper temp so your just loading up the pipe with unburnt fuel. The unburned is going to leak somewhere since it isn't push out the back.

Welcome. You'll waste a lot of time on this site.

Do make at least an attempt to clean up the parts somewhat...the RTV will stick better. Don't need to be spotless.

Do let the RTV cure before you go riding. Gooping the pipe one minute, riding off the next is only likely to blow a hole in the uncured goop. If your garage is cold, hang a trouble light under the joint, it will cure better.

Same process works on the pipe/silencer joint, too, when you lose the OEM coupler (or it splits).
