Any body up to a ride at Macoy Hatfiled Trails in West Virginia the
weeks of 04/22/07 ?
It's about a 525 mile trip for me from Michigan but sounds like the
best riding area that I will ever see.
The Browing Fork Trail seems like it would be the best place to stay
as it's between two other trail systems. TheBrowing Fork has about 115 miles of trails and there is camping on the trail head.
Heres the links for the trail and camping.
Daily temps should be around 65 degrees.
Yea Haw Hillbilly country !

RATS!! Somebody finally wants to go to H&C and I can't go.
I want to go BADLY but I cannot - one of my sons in this weekend choir thing and I need to be there on the 22nd . . .
TW, have fun. Browning Fork is one of the more popular trail systems, plenty there, a good bit of single-tracks but not like Dingus Rum. My "roots" on my father's side are from that general part of W Va (yes, my last name is Browning)
Let us know how it goes, and by all means when you go back holler for us!!

I went in late April last year with a group of 8. We stayed at cabin in Gilbert and rode Browning Fork for 3 days and had a great time. Nothing like getting up and riding the bike out of the driveway through town in the morning and then hitting the trails all day. I want to make another trip and check out the other trail systems.
The people down there couldn't be more friendly and they really appreciate the riders business. It was amazing that all the locals would ask what we thought of the riding and if we were having a good time etc.

I want to make a trip to H & M this year before it gets really hot, any dates planned for anyone? Its a 9 hr drive for me, but I think it'd be well worth the trip. Lets throw some dates around!

What dates did you have in mind? In May it's still not unbearably hot, but once June rolls around . . .

04-22 thru 04-28 I will be there with some friends staying at Twin Hollow
Campground on Browning Fork.
25.00 per night for a campsite with electric.
The weather channel says 73-51 degrees, perfect riding weather if
ya believe the weather people. I think winning the lotto is a better
chance.

Don't know
Some guys we rode with last summer in Michigan UP said that is
one of the best places in the US to ride so I made it work for the
spring.
Fall would be more colorful, the beer will taste just as good though
