Hi all
I am in need of some tranny oil for this weekend's ride, and cannot get anything else other than shell helix 15W-50 how will this go in my KDX 200? my manual says 10W-30 or 10W-40 will it be ok or should i stay away??

No gas station sells quarts of oil??
In any case, as long as there are no friction modifiers, it should be fine! I used 15-50 all the time.

Everything is shut at 8pm apart from most 24 hour fuel stops.
Plus only other thing they have is 5W-40 or 20W-50 or 20W-65
Sweet Thanks Jerry. i shall report on how it preforms.

The oil viscosity might affect clutch disengagement. A thicker oil will drag the plates a little more. Most likely not though. A thicker oil will quiet down the tranny some too. 20w-50 is good and preferred by many.
Most likely you're done riding already as the sun is just rising over here in California. Hope you had a good time!!
