I have been e-mailing FRP. Jeff told me he will pay between $125-$175(dependning on the condition) of the KDX OEM Forks. I am going to ask him, if I can pay the difference & have him send me a Hinson Clutch Basket. The cost for the basket will more or less be a wash. He sells them for $200 & he does have them in stock.

Good for you!

That's also good news that Jeff still has the KDX Hinson baskets in stock.

What does a stock basket run? 209.70 from Ron Ayers.... Advantage, has gear on it.

Hinson does not and I know that Fuzzy has had an issue keeping the gear attached to his Hinson. That's something I don't want to worry about myself. Dependability is number 1 in my book.

I finally succomed to JB Welding the kicker gear to the basket. The set screws are a horrible design. IMO, for what Hinson charges for a basket they should include a gear. All seems well now, but I haven't ridden hardly at all since epoxying the gear on. I've started the bike a bunch of times, and all seems well. The only reason I ended up w/ this thing is due to the fact that my stock basket was wasted, and I found a like new hinson on ebay for $50. OEM was more than a new hinson as well.

V...Labor day was a bust for me, but I've got to get down there for some fall riding for sure.
