91 kdx 200 rear wheel spacing?

So my father in law bought this bike brand new and used it on the ranch for years. Then other family members used it and beat the crap out of it. Rode it like they stole it! There has been very little maintenance done on it.
So I have been fixing it up. Got it running. Had to get a new used rear hub. Had to get new spokes. Getting it all back together and there is a gap in the rear wheel spacing. If I push everything to one side there is a 1/8 inch gap for things to slide around. Am I missing a spacer? There were two spacers, one one each side.
Also the rear brake looks like it has been smashing into the swing arm for a while. Any thoughts on that?
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you!

Ouch.... The rear brake caliper mount interface with the swingarm is likely very worn out, with the aluminum deformed on the caliper mount or the swingarm, or quite likely both portions. That is why the caliper's brake line banjo bolt is able to rotate forward and collide with the top of the swingarm, leaving indentations in it.

As far as the spacing, I would compare the replacement hub width to the previous hub's width to make certain you have the same part for starters. A little bit of a gap is normal, but while the axle nut would close that down, that's excessive. The swingarm itself could also be a bit tweaked, and perhaps it was negligently ridden around with the axle nut loose, which could have spread the swingarm apart a but as well as hammered the brake stay portion of the caliper into the swingarm interface lug. Lots to investigate here in person still.

Best of luck, you've come to a great place for assistance, but further in-person investigation needs to take place to get this sorted.

I will take it apart and post some pictures of the brake and swingarm.
I will also do some measurements of the old hub compared to the new hub.
Thank you Chuck78

On that replacement rear hub, is the internal spacer that goes between the 2 bearings present?

If not, the bearings will lock up when you tighten the axle nut.
